About Leanna Crawford
No matter who you are or where you’ve come from, finding solace and comfort in music
is a prerequisite rite of passage for countless teenagers.
is a prerequisite rite of passage for countless teenagers.
However, for singer-songwriter Leanna Crawford, playing guitar and writing poetry in the
bedroom of her family’s home in Washington State, was never merely a leisurely
pastime or a source of creative escapism. On the contrary, songwriting was her artistic
vehicle to navigate her faith, relationships, and questions in a world of insecurities and
difficulties.

difficulties.
No longer just another teen playing guitar and writing poetry in the bedroom of her
family’s home in Washington State, Leanna now finds herself, a happily married woman
in her twenties, on the verge of the release of her major record label debut album, Still
Waters.

Combining previously released tracks with fresh compositions like “For Heaven’s Sake,”
“Honest,” and “Rest,” the album is a tapestry of struggle and faith, reflecting Crawford’s
journey and pursuit for truth, honesty, and beauty.

Each song on Still Waters feels like a journal entry—infused with Crawford’s personal
reflections and experiences. “For Heaven’s Sake” invites listeners to unite in purpose
regardless of differences. “How Can You Not” is a melodic affirmation of God’s
omnipresence, even amidst doubt. The title track, “Still Waters” holds special meaning
as a tribute to Crawford’s Great Aunt Maurine whose steadfast faith profoundly
impacted her family across generations.

“My prayer is that this album becomes a vessel of hope and grace,” says Crawford. “I
want listeners to feel seen, understood, and hopeful through these songs – and as a
result, encounter the transformative love of Jesus.”
